Hypotension in Volume- or Salt-Depleted Patients In patients with an activated renin-angiotensin system, such as volume- or salt-depleted patients (e.g., those being treated with high doses of diuretics), symptomatic hypotension may occur after initiation of treatment with HYZAAR.
Because losartan decreases uric acid, losartan in combination with hydrochlorothiazide attenuates the diuretic-induced hyperuricemia.
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): increased risk of renal impairment and reduced diuretic, natriuretic, and antihypertensive effects.
Lithium Increases in serum lithium concentrations and lithium toxicity have been reported with concomitant use of angiotensin II receptor antagonists or thiazide diuretics.

Ototoxicity Tinnitus and hearing loss (usually reversible) have been observed with loop diuretics, including torsemide.
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs): Reduced diuretic, natriuretic, and antihypertensive effects; risk of renal impairment.
Organic Anion Drugs: May decrease diuretic activity of torsemide.
The antihypertensive and diuretic effects of torsemide can be reduced by NSAIDs.
Monitor diuretic effect and blood pressure when used in combination with CYP2C9 inhibitor or inducer.
