Patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or within 14 days of stopping MAOIs (including MAOIs such as linezolid or intravenous methylene blue), because of an increased risk of hypertensive crisis [ see Warnings and Precautions (5.7) , Drug Interactions (7.1) ].
Use of monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or within 14 days of the last MAOI dose ( 4 , 7.1 )
Serotonin Syndrome: Increased risk when co-administered with serotonergic agents (e.g., SSRIs, SNRIs, triptans), but also during overdosage situations.
Concomitant use of DYANAVEL XR with MAOI drugs is contraindicated [ see Contraindications (4) ] .
Discontinue treatment with DYANAVEL XR and any concomitant serotonergic agents immediately if symptoms of serotonin syndrome occur, and initiate supportive symptomatic treatment.

Nevertheless, caution should be exercised when concomitantly using recommended doses of rasagiline with any sympathomimetic medications including nasal, oral, and ophthalmic decongestants and cold remedies.
