Do not exceed doses greater than 20 mg daily of simvastatin.
Impact of Amlodipine on Other Drugs Simvastatin Co-administration of simvastatin with amlodipine increases the systemic exposure of simvastatin.
Limit the dose of simvastatin in patients on amlodipine to 20 mg daily [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3) ] .
From the Simvastatin (ZOCOR) label · effective 2025-03-28
ZOCOR dosage modifications are recommended for patients taking lomitapide, verapamil, diltiazem, dronedarone, amiodarone, amlodipine or ranolazine [see Dosage and Administration (2.5) ] .
For patients taking amiodarone, amlodipine, or ranolazine, do not exceed ZOCOR 20 mg daily [see Dosage and Administration (2.5) ] .
Amiodarone, Dronedarone, Ranolazine, or Calcium Channel Blockers Clinical Impact: The risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis is increased by concomitant use of amiodarone, dronedarone, ranolazine, or calcium channel blockers with ZOCOR.
