Monitor and replace thyroid hormone if needed.
Hypothyroidism TARGRETIN induces hypothyroidism in about half of all patients treated by causing a reversible reduction in levels of thyroid hormone (total thyroxine [total T4]) and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH).
Consider treatment with thyroid hormone supplementation in patients with hypothyroidism.
In the 300 mg/m 2 /day initial dose group, 37% of patients were treated with thyroid hormone replacement.
Obtain baseline thyroid function tests and patients monitor during treatment.
