In patients receiving concomitant corticosteroids and chronic use of aspirin, withdrawal of corticosteroids may result in salicylism because corticosteroids enhance renal clearance of salicylates and their withdrawal is followed by return to normal rates of renal clearance.

Monitor for toxicity when aspirin is used in conjunction with HEMADY in hypoprothrombinemia.
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Agents (NSAIDS) Concomitant use of aspirin (or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents) and corticosteroids increases the risk of gastrointestinal side effects [see Warnings and Precautions ( 5.7 ) and Adverse Reactions ( 6 )] .
The clearance of salicylates may be increased with concurrent use of corticosteroids.
