What the FDA labels say
From the Elvitegravir, cobicistat, emtricitabine, and tenofovir (Genvoya) label · effective 2025-02-03
GENVOYA should not be administered with other antiretroviral medications for treatment of HIV-1 infection.
Not Recommended with Other Antiretroviral Medications GENVOYA is a complete regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 infection; therefore, coadministration of GENVOYA with other antiretroviral medications for treatment of HIV-1 infection should be avoided.

Lactic Acidosis/Severe Hepatomegaly with Steatosis Lactic acidosis and severe hepatomegaly with steatosis, including fatal cases, have been reported with the use of nucleoside analogs, including emtricitabine, a component of GENVOYA, and tenofovir DF, another prodrug of tenofovir, alone or in combination with other antiretrovirals.
From the Rilpivirine (EDURANT) label · effective 2025-08-28
Coadministration of EDURANT or EDURANT PED and drugs that inhibit CYP3A may result in increased plasma concentrations of rilpivirine.
Rilpivirine is primarily metabolized by cytochrome P450 (CYP)3A, and drugs that induce or inhibit CYP3A may thus affect the clearance of rilpivirine.
Coadministration of EDURANT or EDURANT PED with drugs that induce or inhibit CYP3A may affect the plasma concentrations of rilpivirine.
…included in Table 6, the interaction between EDURANT and the following drugs was evaluated in clinical studies and no dose adjustment is needed for either drug [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3) ] : acetaminophen, atorvastatin, chlorzoxazone, cabotegravir, ethinylestradiol, norethindrone, raltegravir, sildenafil, simeprevir and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate.
No clinically relevant drug-drug interaction is expected when EDURANT or EDURANT PED is coadministered with maraviroc, ribavirin or the NRTIs abacavir, emtricitabine, lamivudine, stavudine and zidovudine.
