For conditions other than Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies, when possible, avoid concomitant use of HALDOL DECANOATE with dopaminergic drugs [see Warnings and Precautions (5.7) ] .
Dopaminergic Drugs Clinical Impact Haloperidol may antagonize the effects of levodopa, dopamine agonists, and other drugs intended to increase dopamine levels.

Withdrawal-Emergent Hyperpyrexia and Confusion A symptom complex resembling the neuroleptic malignant syndrome (characterized by elevated temperature, muscular rigidity, altered consciousness, and autonomic instability), with no other obvious etiology, has been reported in association with rapid dose reduction of, withdrawal of, or changes in, dopaminergic therapy.
• Dopamine antagonists (e.g., neuroleptics, metoclopramide): May reduce efficacy of ropinirole.
Dopamine Antagonists Because ropinirole is a dopamine agonist, it is possible that dopamine antagonists such as neuroleptics (e.g., phenothiazines, butyrophenones, thioxanthenes) or metoclopramide may reduce the efficacy of ropinirole.
