Blood Glucose Disturbances Fluoroquinolones, including Levofloxacin in 5% Dextrose Injection, have been associated with disturbances of blood glucose, including symptomatic hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, usually in diabetic patients receiving concomitant treatment with an oral hypoglycemic agent (e.g., glyburide) or with insulin.
