• Diuretics, NSAID, renin-angiotensin system antagonists, or metronidazole may increase lithium serum concentrations.
Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) Clinical Impact: NSAID decrease renal blood flow, resulting in decreased renal clearance and increased serum lithium concentrations.
From the Meloxicam (QAMZOVA) label · effective 2026-07-16
Lithium Clinical Impact: NSAIDs have produced elevations in plasma lithium levels and reductions in renal lithium clearance.
The mean minimum lithium concentration increased 15%, and the renal clearance decreased by approximately 20%.
Intervention: During concomitant use of QAMZOVA and lithium, monitor patients for signs of lithium toxicity.
