The benzodiazepines, including temazepam, produce additive CNS-depressant effects when co-administered with other CNS depressants such as alcohol, barbiturates, antipsychotics, sedative/hypnotics, anxiolytics, antidepressants, narcotic analgesics, sedative antihistamines, anticonvulsants, and anesthetics.

False-Positive Effects on Screening Tests for Benzodiazepines False-positive urine immunoassay screening tests for benzodiazepines have been reported in patients taking another sertraline hydrochloride product.
Confirmatory tests, such as gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, will help distinguish sertraline hydrochloride capsules from benzodiazepines [see Drug Interactions ( 7.3 )] .
