The use of Zolpidem Tartrate with other sedative-hypnotics (including other zolpidem products) at bedtime or the middle of the night is not recommended.
Imipramine, Chlorpromazine Imipramine in combination with zolpidem produced no pharmacokinetic interaction other than a 20% decrease in peak levels of imipramine, but there was an additive effect of decreased alertness.
Similarly, chlorpromazine in combination with zolpidem produced no pharmacokinetic interaction, but there was an additive effect of decreased alertness and psychomotor performance [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3) ] .
CNS-Depressant Effects: Impaired alertness and motor coordination, including risk of morning impairment.
Risk increases with dose and use with other CNS depressants and alcohol.

Do not use in comatose states or in the presence of large amounts of central nervous system depressants (alcohol, barbiturates, narcotics, etc.).
Because of its CNS depressant effect, chlorpromazine should be used with caution in patients with chronic respiratory disorders such as severe asthma, emphysema and acute respiratory infections, particularly in children (1 to 12 years of age).
Chlorpromazine prolongs and intensifies the action of CNS depressants such as anesthetics, barbiturates and narcotics.
When chlorpromazine is not being administered to reduce requirements of CNS depressants, it is best to stop such depressants before starting chlorpromazine treatment.
