Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors Use of phentermine is contraindicated during or within 14 days following the administration of monoamine oxidase inhibitors because of the risk of hypertensive crisis.

Hypertensive crisis has been reported in patients taking the recommended dose of rasagiline and sympathomimetic medications.
Severe hypertension has been reported in patients taking the recommended dose of rasagiline and ophthalmic drops containing sympathomimetic medications.
Nevertheless, caution should be exercised when concomitantly using recommended doses of rasagiline with any sympathomimetic medications including nasal, oral, and ophthalmic decongestants and cold remedies.
