HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors lovastatin, simvastatin ↑ lovastatin ↑ simvastatin Co-administration contraindicated due to potential for myopathy including rhabdomyolysis [see Contraindications (4) ] .

If treatment with PAXLOVID is considered medically necessary, discontinue use of lovastatin and simvastatin at least 12 hours prior to initiation of PAXLOVID, during the 5 days of PAXLOVID treatment, and for 5 days after completing PAXLOVID.

HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors atorvastatin ↑ atorvastatin Consider temporary discontinuation of atorvastatin during treatment with PAXLOVID.

VYTORIN is contraindicated in the following conditions: Concomitant use of strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (select azole anti-fungals, macrolide antibiotics, anti-viral medications, and nefazodone) [see Drug Interactions (7.1) ] .

If treatment with a CYP3A4 inhibitor is unavoidable, suspend VYTORIN during the course of strong CYP3A4 inhibitor treatment.
