What the FDA labels say
From the Aspirin and dipyridamole label · effective 2023-12-26
Diuretics The effectiveness of diuretics in patients with underlying renal or cardiovascular disease may be diminished by the concomitant administration of aspirin due to inhibition of renal prostaglandins, leading to decreased renal blood flow and salt and fluid retention.
From the Furosemide label · effective 2026-05-13
• Salicylates : Risk of salicylate toxicity ( 7.1 )
Salicylates May experience salicylate toxicity at lower doses because of competitive renal excretory sites.
Monitor for symptoms of salicylate toxicity.
Indomethacin Coadministration of indomethacin may reduce the natriuretic and antihypertensive effects of furosemide in some patients by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
