Because of its relative beta 1 selectivity, however, TENORMIN may be used with caution in patients with bronchospastic disease who do not respond to, or cannot tolerate, other antihypertensive treatment.
As with other beta-blockers, when discontinuation of TENORMIN is planned, the patients should be carefully observed and advised to limit physical activity to a minimum.
From the Bisoprolol (Bisoprolol Fumarate) label · effective 2026-03-20
Because of its relative beta 1 -selectivity, however, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE may be used with caution in patients with bronchospastic disease who do not respond to, or who cannot tolerate other antihypertensive treatment.
Drug Interactions BISOPROLOL FUMARATE should not be combined with other beta-blocking agents.
