Known hypersensitivity to any of the tricyclic compounds (e.g., amitriptyline, desipramine, imipramine, protriptyline, and nortriptyline.) Hypersensitivity reactions include anaphylaxis and serious rash.
Known hypersensitivity to tricyclic antidepressants ( 4 )
EQUETRO increases the plasma levels of the following drugs by inhibition of their metabolism : Clomipramine, P henytoin, and P rimidone EQUETRO can increase the concentrations of clomipramine, phenytoin, and primidone.
Increased Intraocular Pressure Carbamazepine has mild anticholinergic activity.

…several closely related tricyclic antidepressants have been reported to be increased by the concomitant administration of methylphenidate or hepatic enzyme inhibitors (e.g., cimetidine, fluoxetine) and decreased by the concomitant administration of hepatic enzyme inducers (e.g., barbiturates, phenytoin), and such an effect may be anticipated with CMI as well.
