Levofloxacin should be avoided in patients with known prolongation of the QT interval, patients with uncorrected hypokalemia, and patients receiving Class IA (quinidine, procainamide), or Class III (amiodarone, sotalol) antiarrhythmic agents.
Levofloxacin absorption and disposition kinetics were similar in the presence or absence of digoxin.
Digoxin No significant effect of Levofloxacin in 5% Dextrose Injection on the peak plasma concentrations, AUC, and other disposition parameters for digoxin was detected in a clinical study involving healthy volunteers.
Therefore, no dosage adjustment for Levofloxacin in 5% Dextrose Injection or digoxin is required when administered concomitantly.
