CYP2C19 Substrates APTIOM can inhibit CYP2C19, which can cause increased plasma concentrations of drugs that are metabolized by this isoenzyme (e.g., phenytoin, clobazam, and omeprazole) [see Clinical Pharmacology ( 12.3 )].

Potential for Etravirine to Affect Other Drugs Etravirine is an inducer of CYP3A and inhibitor of CYP2C9, CYP2C19 and P-glycoprotein (P-gp).
Anticonvulsants : carbamazepine phenobarbital phenytoin ↓ etravirine Carbamazepine, phenobarbital and phenytoin are inducers of CYP450 enzymes.
