Increased Bleeding Risk with Coumarin Anticoagulants Exercise caution when co-administering anticoagulants with fenofibrate capsules because of the potentiation of coumarin-type anticoagulant effects in prolonging the prothrombin time/International Normalized Ratio (PT/INR).

To prevent bleeding complications, monitor the PT/INR frequently and adjust the dosage of the anticoagulant until the PT/INR has stabilized [see Drug Interactions (7) ] .
