Concomitant Use with Estrogen-Containing Products, Including Oral Contraceptives Some estrogen-containing oral contraceptives have been shown to decrease serum concentrations of lamotrigine [see Clinical Pharmacology ( 12.3 )] .
Dosage adjustments will be necessary in most patients who start or stop estrogen-containing oral contraceptives while taking SUBVENITE [see Dosage and Administration ( 2.1 )] .
Estrogen-containing oral contraceptives decrease lamotrigine concentrations by approximately 50%.
