• Long-acting barbiturates • Rifabutin • Rifampin • Ritonavir Concomitant use with high-dose ritonavir (400 mg every 12 hours) is contraindicated.
Concomitant use with low-dose ritonavir (100 mg every 12 hours) should be avoided, unless an assessment of the benefit/risk to the patient justifies the use of voriconazole [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3) ] .
High-dose Ritonavir (400 mg every 12 hours) (CYP450 Induction) Significantly Reduced Contraindicated Low-dose Ritonavir (100 mg every 12 hours) (CYP450 Induction) Reduced Concomitant administration of voriconazole and low-dose ritonavir (100 mg every 12 hours) should be avoided, unless an assessment of the benefit/risk to the patient justifies the use of voriconazole.
Low-dose Ritonavir (100 mg every 12 hours) Slight Decrease in Ritonavir C max and AUC τ Concomitant administration of voriconazole and low-dose ritonavir (100 mg every 12 hours) should be avoided (due to the reduction in voriconazole C max and AUC τ ) unless an assessment of the benefit/risk to the patient justifies the use of voriconazole.
Concomitant use of voriconazole is contraindicated with drugs and herbal products that induce CYP2C19, CYP2C9, and/or CYP3A4 and for which significantly reduced voriconazole plasma concentrations may be associated with loss of efficacy [see Drug Interactions (7) ]: • Carbamazepine • Efavirenz Concomitant use with efavirenz dosages of 400 mg every 24 hours or…
De la etiqueta de Lopinavir y ritonavir (Kaletra) · vigente desde 2026-07-23
Antifungals: ketoconazole*, itraconazole, voriconazole isavuconazonium sulfate* ↑ ketoconazole ↑ itraconazole ↓ voriconazole ↑ isavuconazonium High doses of ketoconazole (>200 mg/day) or itraconazole (> 200 mg/day) are not recommended.
The coadministration of voriconazole and KALETRA should be avoided unless an assessment of the benefit/risk to the patient justifies the use of voriconazole.
Avoid use in patients with congenital long QT syndrome, those with hypokalemia, and with other drugs that prolong the QT interval.
Potential for KALETRA to Affect Other Drugs Lopinavir/ritonavir is an inhibitor of CYP3A and may increase plasma concentrations of agents that are primarily metabolized by CYP3A.
Although not observed in the KALETRA/ketoconazole drug interaction study, co-administration of KALETRA and other drugs that inhibit CYP3A may increase lopinavir plasma concentrations.
