Avoid co-administration of mifepristone and CYP3A inducers such as rifampin, rifabutin, rifapentin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, carbamazepine, and St.
CYP3A inducers: Do not use mifepristone with CYP3A inducers ( 7.3 ).
The dose of mifepristone should be limited to 900 mg, and strong inhibitors of CYP3A should be used only when necessary. Equetro may decrease the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptives.

EQUETRO can increase the metabolism of certain hormonal contraceptives (through CYP3A4 induction) such as oral and subdermal implant contraceptives, leading to significantly lower plasma concentrations of hormones.
